Why Genki Portable Power Station Charge Faster than Others?
Recently we got many questions from contact
box on our website, one of them is why Genki portable power station charge
faster, how fast is it? Today we are writing to explain this issue and hope
this article is helpful to you.
Before start, let’s find out what charge
methods portable power stations support. Generally, there are 3 recharge methods:
AC adaptor, carport and solar panel, and AC adaptor is the fastest, take 500W
portable power station (Capacity: 515Wh) as example, here is data of different
charging ways.
AC outlet charge is the fastest, but still
takes about 8 hours, if your travel is urgent, or during a few days travelling,
you may need take a short rest at hotel, you may not have enough time to full
charge the portable power station, then how to solve this problem?
Regarding this issue, Genki’s R&D team
provide a perfect solution. They improved the PD 60W output port to PD 60W
output / input two-way port on the original design. It means you can charge the
station through PD input port as well. You may feel doubted that it just added
a PD port function, not increase the charging speed. Well, yes, this port
increases a way to charge, and now you can charge the portable power station
via both AC outlet and PD input charge port simultaneously.
Let’s reorganize: AC outlet charge need 8
hours, it means the AC input power is 515Wh / 8h = 64.3W (approximately), now
using 64.3W AC outlet and 60W PD charge together, the portable power station input
power is 124.3W, the charging time will be 515Wh / 124.3W = 4.14h
(approximately). Decreased from 8 hours to about 4 hours, charging time cut in
half!!!
How do you think of this function? Is it
important for you to choose a portable power station for camping or residential
backup power?
